Replying to Health Insurance 2017

So Im over 27 now and seems everywhere I go I cant find anything for less than $300 a month. I'm on a list for an appointment for county health insurance helper but just curious is anyone here really good with the current Health insurance market or know the way to get reasonable insurance.

According to friends cause I'm a poor dirtbag (make less than $30,000 a year) I should be able to find reasonable health insurance.
