ozzywrongShit happens in manufacturing build a bridge get over it .. Sometimes bad things happen in saying that I was on the batalla team they had manufacturing issues now they are gone.. So maybe revision will end up in the toilet but in my Opinion this is sad that people get so mad they should understand sometimes bad things happen and support companies that are trying to help skiers get cheap equipment.. I really like Revision if I were to buy skis I would consider that company as a good park ski to buy from at a very cheap price and there flex looks amazing.. In saying that as much as I may not see eye to with Logan .. Armada is a pretty sick company and for for him to go out on a limb and give kids free skis for another companies fuck up is quite amazing .. shit I respect that.. Armada is hands down the best ski company there is no doubt in my mind but I still think that revision is a really amazing company that has an amazing team and sometimes in manufacturing bad things can happen ( as was the case with batalla) but they might not be answering the emails because they are simply overwhelmed with problems to solve. It's a very very big job running a company and when something big fucks up shit can go topsy Turvey really quickly. Freeskiing needs startup brands like revision that support the underground and give you guys affordable dope skis. So sometimes you need to give companies the benefit of the doubt. You all may disagree but I recently saw a company I was riding for fall apart even though they were selling a lot of skis all because of a manufacturing issue that was out of their control and to see something like that fail because of issues out of their control sucked but maybe that's capitalism and law of the jungle.
The aspect of being out of their control is not the issue that most of the reasonable people on here have. They didnt make their skis and they don't really have any way to control the speed of the skis being made (within reason) if they want a quality product. I'm not in the same situation as most people who bought Revisions (I didn't), but I did have to wait an extended amount of time to get the skis I paid for this season. I understand its super shitty to not have something that by the time you were told when getting skis on time is a huge factor in the ski industry, but it is understandable and excusable.
Yea they obviously have a lot of shit to deal with, but saying that they have so many problems to solve that they entirely shut down customer service is not a reasonable excuse. Fuck, its not an excuse at all. Who the fuck thinks thats a good idea in the ski industry?? Customer service is what separates many small companies from larger companies bias-wise.
I had to deal with Liberty last season for a pair of skis that had a manufacturer defect (which was happening to a ton of skis ), and I talked to them about what happened on the phone. Everything sounded like it would be handled (lined up a pair of warranty skis for next season), but words don't hold much value, so I didn't put much trust into them and paid for a pair on pre-order over the summer/fall. Well Liberty came through and sent a pair to me with punctuality and great communication. Because of that, I had some of the sickest skis Ive ever used for free (the manufacturer defect was completely fixed), and I had something to ski on when my pre-order skis got backed up. Because of this, I will always have good things to say about Liberty. Shit like that is how you get respect from customers. Revision is doing absolutely none of that. They aren't even trying. Mass email updates are probably one of the easiest things a customer service rep has to do imo. If you have even a basic knowledge of spreadsheets, you can send mass emails (like Logan pointed out).
If I were working for Revision, I would honestly tell the someone to atleast attempt to email people back. I would do it myself if I have to. Emailing everyone is ideal, but a platform like Newschoolers, hearing about others receiving emails is definitely revitalizing if you can't hit everyone up easily.
