not me! both my grandpas are dead, one grandma went insane, all my aunts/uncles are kooks or on probation, and my cousins are shitshows + living nearly 2000 miles away makes thanksgiving and other holidays even better.

my grandma on my mom side is cool but other than that, yeah everyones kinda on a pay no mind list. it was so fucking awful, I remember as a little kid every year my uncle having to escort my aunt out because she got way to shitcanned and got all upset at something either my dad or another relative would say lol.

Thanksgivng always felt so gross for me. its the time of year when your extremely liberal mother and grandparents get into a fight with your grandparents drunken extremly conservative children, while the cousins secretly got fucked up in the basement. I always look forward to black friday cause skiing

Mine wasn't even bad this year. Really lame but it was cool to see some family. Not sure it was worth 6 hours of driving today but whatever.

At least it didn't go the route of bullshit politics and religion. A little bit of politics but almost nothing religious.

I was amazed. Might be the first year I didn't get asked about going to college, or get a million people opinions of jobs I should do instead of mine.

Also apparently my family now considers me mildly interesting and hates me less.

That said the whole thing felt kind of weird and in general I'm not really sure it was worth it to zip tie my car together and spend a ton of time driving just to east some food and see a few people.

I don't even eat turkey anyway.

Best thanksgiving I have ever had.

Stayed down here in Tahoe and my parents came down and we had dinner with some friends from back home and their family.

Would have been nice to go home and see the old homies and what not, but man I'm so glad I didn't have to do thanksgiving dinner with everyone besides my immediate family.

After this lovely experience you probably won't catch me at another big family thanksgiving again haha.

I don't like thanksgiving. I know I'm alone here, but I hate the food. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing. It's all just shitty food. I'm a big fan of pie though. I'm not a picky eater either, thanksgiving just happens to be that meal where everything I don't like is served on the table..

Honestly I wish my family would all make a giant sheet pizza for thanksgiving as a family. Like, doesn't that sound more fun than slaving over 10 different dishes and courses? And who doesn't love homemade pizza! Not to mention everyone gets to partake in making it.

I actually enjoy spending time with all members of my family and relish the time in which my extended family is at my house. Always grew up in the "big house" persay so we would have like 15+ family members come hang out. Luckily my fam rarely drinks and doesn't really discuss politics so it's always pretty mellow. Family is awesome. Family over Everything,

Not much left in my family, just mom and brother in California that never comes home for thanksgiving. We go out to eat with couple of her baby boomer friends. I love guessing what's coming out of their mouth next. Reminds me of some of the voice messages on viceland.

I have one very openly racist grandmother who is always great to listen too. We all just know to not respond to anything she says and just enjoy it because even tho it's fucked up, it's still entertaining to listen to her. My mom's sister is also a very energetic fanatic trump supporter who would not shut the fuck up about the election she just keeps on going, nothing can shut that woman up. Not responding doesn't do anything she just keeps talking it's like you need to talk over her to get her to shut up. She won't even let 3 words come out of your mouth before she just cuts you off and rants for another hour talking 3,000 words per minute. Psycho aunts gotta love em.

So between my grandma and aunt I had a very entertaining thanksgiving of listening to their drunk rants, as if they already didn't rant enough.

Stayed at my grandparents house up at Mt. Snow. No skiing unfortunately. My grandma got really drunk and went around the house screaming "Yahtzee"

Fun times. Also pretty sure my grandparents house is haunted

For the longest time I thought stuffing was the inside meat of the turkey. Like the intestines or something. Didn't realize it wasn't part of the turkey till last year when my aunt asked me to make it.
