Replying to Remounting Line chronics
Ok so this is my situation here. I currently have a pair of 171 line chronics. As of now they are mounted behind center at -40mm i believe. I am most likely going to be skiing alot of park so im a little skepitical on there preformance not be mounted at center or closer to it. I was thinking of them getting remounted if there performance in park wasnt what i need but have come across another possible option that I would like advice on. If any of you have ever worked on snowboards before you know they use inserts instead of drilling the binding directly in like they do on skis. I have done a bit of research and have found you can do it on skis to. Its typically used to switch between bindings. But in my case i was thinking i could put inserts in so the binding was dead center and also put inserts in the pre existing holes and i could switch the bindings stance depending on what i was going to ski that day. If u have any expirience in this area please tell me if this is possible and other advice like how much it will weaken my skis .
