Unimportant background:
I moved out to Oregon a few years ago, and finally got myself together enough to start touring around, avi course included. I went all out-ish and decided on some custom on3p's and guardians.
Except I majorly f'ed up and ordered my skis too late. I stupidly thought I could pick up the skis on the listed press date, which would have given me time to get them mounted by a shop before my avi course.
Of course that's not the case, my skis may or may not be ready to pick up this week, and my avi course is in 2 weeks, not enough time for a mount with Thanksgiving in the middle of it. Nonetheless, I will have my DIN set by a shop after mounting.
TLDR: I have to mount my skis myself. Should I do my first home mount on custom skis and guardians (harder than normal bindings??) on a paper template or spend the skrilla ($275) and pick up a jigarex and mounting plates?
(also, as a long shot, if anyone in the Portland area has a jig they're willing to let me borrow, I'd love you forever)
