Newschoolers Skiing level Survey

Hey y'all,
I am a huge fan of statistics and data, and I've been curious of the average level of skiers on newschoolers and what tricks they can do. So I've created a short survey to find that out.

I'll post the data on here after I'm done so please participate and answer honestly.

The.FishShould have added a rail trick list since a lot of us are in the midwest and focus on rails


If people are interested I could make another survey foccused for on rails. It would be a bit more complicated though since there are a lot more rail tricks possible.

I'm not such a great one for tricks, but I've been skiing for 26 years so I like to think that my actual skiing ability is on the higher end of things. Your survey needs some non-trick related questions too.

I probably could have worded the title better, it's not meant to represent the actual skiing ability of the person, but how advanced of a "freestyle" skier they are. If you have been skiing for that long then chances are you are probably a better skier than most of the park rats on this site. I was just curious how many people on here walk the talk.

I got new skis this year so hopefully I'll be able to say I can do some of the things in the survey after this year. Hell, trying to get my ol' Salomon 720's to flex last year to see if I could attempt to butter, I would have slipped out of my boots before I could get those things to flex even a tiny bit. Things will be different this year. New skis and new boots. So stoked.

make a rail trick list also ask if they can hit rails natty and UNatty - that a good way to tell how proficient a skier is

The survey needs way more rail tricks for sure. I might have missed it, but there was nothing in the survey regarding unnatural tricks whatsoever, which is in my opinion, a very important category when determining someones ability.

I should have worded the name better. I made the survey because I was curious and thought others might be too, of how many skiers on NS actually practice the freestyle side of skiing. A survey asking someone to rate how well they can carve from 1-10 isn't going to tell you much or be very interesting. However the fact that 57% of Newschoolers claim they can or have back flipped is pretty cool.
