Suface Blanks

Does anyone know anything about the Surface Blanks? They look sick and are pretty cheap. I want to get them for my next skis but not sure if I will be wasting my money since I haven't seen really any reviews on them. What are your thoughts on them? Durability? Flex? Weight? Park (90mm) or All Mountain (100mm)?

I used to have a pair, I got them after I got my One Lifes and wanted to give Surface park skis a shot. Customized the topsheet with sharpie which was super fun. I loved them at first but they got edge cracks after literally 1 week of riding, and within a few months the underfoot edges were gone. Then one of my heel pieces came out of the ski while I was on a flat tube. I have never seen a ski disintigrate like my Blanks. And it blows my mind how shitty they are since my original One Lifes are still going strong.
I bought the One Lifes Spring 2013 for the last few weeks of the season and have used them ever since and despite one of the tails splitting open a bit that expoxy easily fixed, after using them for rails/pow for 3 seasons the underfoot edges are still great. I bought a pair of 2014 One Lifes on sale planning to mount them up sometime early last season but they are still sitting in the shrink wrap since my OG ones are killin it so hard.
The Blanks I had were the last year they were the skinny blanks, new ones seem like completely different shape. Not sure what the quality is but in my experience Surface quality can vary from awesome to complete shit, so be careful

I love my blanks, ive put probably 50 just park lap days on them, plus a few and theyre holding up fine. a little topsheet crack and the base is a lil warped on the tail of one where i massively fucked up a sw tails but thats seriously the biggest piece of damage. edges underfoot are worn down but what can you expect tbh

theyre pretty stiff and full camber so they also kick ass to just bomb around the mountain on. reasonable swing weight but not future spin level and they just feel good on snow imo.

Surface's durability seems to be kind of wishy washy, ive heard tales like above of shit breaking apart after half a season but my pair is killing it. I also have the outsiders and ive put them through more bullshit than any other ski ive seen with my own two eyes and theyre still kicking.

Are those the new version of the Blanks? They have seemed to change their construction a little bit and the ones that were talked about earlier were the previous years model. Are they soft enough to shred in the park and get buttery?

Yeah theyre the new ones, i got them in like december 2015. theyre p stiff and full camber so theyre kinda hard to butter but im also bad. its possible, ive managed a few but i have to set them from a carve usually

Even though they are stiff, do you like them? I bet with a stiff ski like that you could charge pretty hard. Would you recommend getting them? Or should I wait for the next model?

the next model is probably going to be almost exactly the same. cop them if you want them, i think theyre p dank

I'm glad to know this current model Blanks are better than the last, and I fully agree about One Lifes/Outsiders. Such a surprisingly durable ski, can't believe I've beat on them on rails/rocky pow 3+ seasons and they are still charging. Now if only the blanks could be remotely that durable...

Sorry I'm intruding on OP's thread but I saw that the recommended mount for the blanks is center but they are an asymmetrical ski. Where do you have yours mounted? I am planning on getting a pair soon as well.
