I know this should probably be in AT&BC but everyone should see this. Sammy went absolutely ham in the BC but if thats not good marketing for a tech binding, idk what is.

I think cody townsend posted on his instagram that the only boot he used last year was the mtn lab, and he rips too.

Sammy is too good though

Yeah, I mean Cody has been banging the MTN lab drum for a long time, but it's really cool to see a super jiby skier on that setup.

I am pretty sure the knock on kingpins is they break, not that they don't work while they are intact.

While Sammy murdering on them is dope, you don't know how many pairs he went through in a season.. Multiple pairs of tech bindings a season isn't really in the budget for people that buy their gear. And maybe I am wrong, and Sammy broke none, but I would be surprised.

Also he always has a sled and or Heli to get out of zones if they do break, a luxury not many people have.

Just something to keep in mind.

I never broke mine but I did walk out of them a couple times (i'm 185lbs compared to sammy, who is probably 135lbs). As far as I know he didn't break either of the two pairs he had. I only had mine at 10, but would trust them fully cranked to 13.

Also, most of the areas he was in he didn't have a sled or heli to get out, that is just a ludicrous statement haha. He's sammy, not bill gates.

the second part, i was indicating the areas where he skinned in, obviously where he's not wearing a backpack or he's heli skiing he has a sled or a heli

Dope to hear the good storys about kingpins, I want to believe they are solid.

I mean it was mostly Revy right? Which means its sled access then skinning.

I am not saying he is gets picked up by a heli when his gear breaks.

This edit has given me the confidence to rock a Davey Crocket raccoon hat when I am skiing. The debate is still out on the kingpins it's hard to break a binding when you're 100 lbs in 4 feet of blower.

carbon lupos? man those are sick. wish i hadn't just bought the regular lupo tis last year. hows the walk mode on them? mine are pretty meh...great on the downhill though. do you know if its the same shell just made with carbon, or is it different?

i know in Jacob's blog he said he had started hitting kickers in chamonix with his kingpins and felt super comfortable with them.

I love this edit. but you can tell he's on a different septup in the 2nd half of the film (heli access) just from his skiing alone. His feet seem lighter, more loose, and less stable on the touring setup. his stomps are more frequent with his bomber setup. but he still crushes!!

they have something crazy like a 65 range of motion! They have the same 98mm last and mold, but it has different plastics to help cut weight. They also have a tongue lace up liner in them to add to the touring ability. While I havnt skied them yet, they seem pretty true to the 130 flex rating.
