californiagrownWhere was this?
buzzedConcord NH area no idea why that matters all that matters that it happened and it is going to keep happening unless things start to change for the good of all the people in the country.
buzzedToday I went to a store to pick up a few things and as I walked in there were two guys mid 40s talking in the front of the store. There is a pharmacy in the back of the store and a lady of Indian descent was working there. As I'm walking around getting what I need I hear the two guys talking in the front of the store and it hits me they are talking about immigration and how all brown people need to go back home loudly so the pharmacist can hear them. Walked back by the pharmacist and the look on her face is one of fear. So I went to the front of the store and got a better look at these guys. As they saw me walk up one of them turns and asked me if I was an America, and there was legit hate in his voice when he asked me that. I said that doesnt concern you and he said it did because if im not "you are going to be kicked the fuck this country." At this point i realize these two guys wont understand anything and just asked them to move so i could pay and when i asked they both ended up leaving. The lady behind the register thanked me because those guys were in there for about a half hour talking like that and when asked to leave they said its a free country we can do what we want. If this is just the start I'm not looking forward to what's to come.
TheHamburglarTrump made it okay for people to voice their opinion publicly

pomme-de-terre^^^ uh so I just logged into NS for the first time in a few years and here is skierman making a very serious post with a commentary on the current state of affairs following a presidential election.
This is a dark time.
skiermanDidn't you hear? I'm not the real skiierman. Duh.

TheHamburglarI fully endorse strong violence against publicly racist and anti-gay behavior. We need to end this way of thinking NOW.
Josh__PeckHahahaha you fucking liberals are pathetic. How can you claim to be against bigotry when you say shit like this? I'm against racism and homophobia as much as the next guy, but this is fucking ridiculous.
iFlipYour story (if it's true) is exactly the same as seeing any other isolated bad occurrence and then broadly applying it to all of your surroundings. What if you had seen a 9-year old boy steal a candy bar? Would you have made a thread saying you saw what the future is like, and everyone in the future will steal whatever they want?
What if you saw a guy throw a beer can out the window on your way home? Would you say that now, today, because of Trump being elected, everyone is going to start drinking and driving and littering?
Your ignorance is what is wrong. If you stare intently and then try to make connections, you will construe things as such. Instead see it for what it was; an isolated event by ignorant people. Read no more into it than that.

skiermanIf anyone thinks he's lying, I can almost guarantee he is not just based on where this happened. Racism has always been alive and well but only now do we have a massive fucking asshole as president elect which makes other massive fucking assholes think its OK to voice their opinions out loud while threatening anyone contrary to their shittyness.
Why do you think most Trump supporters called themselves the "silent majority" that always stated political correctness, immigrants and Muslims as their biggest concerns? Its because they're racist fucking jackasses.
Most of you are too young to remember beyond the past two elections but this has never happened before after an election and is hardly only a few bad grapes. Wake the fuck up, grow a pair and stab anyone who is bullying a minority.
TheHamburglarTrump made it okay for people to voice their opinion publicly, no matter how racist, misogynistic, anti-gay, whatever. These incidents will become more and more frequent.
What we need to do is make sure these assholes know it's NOT okay to talk down to minorities. I'm lucky to live in a city where whites are the minority and know their place (Los Angeles). But I'm going to make an effort to stick up for what's right, by speaking up, should I ever encounter this type of incident.
Minorities and LGBT are fearful for their safety, and I am going to do everything in my power to make sure they ARE safe here. If that means speaking out against entitled, racist douchebags, I will. If that means grabbing the nearest hard object and splitting a head or two open, I will. I'm not letting these ruthless idiots cause this country to implode.

CampeadorYou're a funny guy.
TheHamburglarGet a life.
s-handAgreed. Also, very interesting about the demographics of LA. I had no idea.
TheHamburglarYeah man, its very diverse out here. At the same time, I admit, its suuuper frustrating interacting with people who speak little to no english, of whom there are many here. Legit a total melting pot of different cultures, pretty awesome to experience. Never a dull moment in LA.
CampeadorLA fucking blows.
