Looking for a wide-based, all-mountain, freestyle ski

Hey NS,
It's about time to start buying a new pir of skis for this season.(For Reference: I am 5 foot 11 and 200 pounds) I want a ski thats between 95-110 mm underfoot, that I can shred all mountain and just have a blast with. I've about the 4frnt devastators, K2 shreditor 102, K2 poacher, and armada arv 96 or 106. Has anyone had any experience with these skis? If you have, what are your thoughts on them? If not one of these skis, do you have any other suggestions of a pair of skis that I should buy? All the help is appreciated!

188 ARV 106. It's probably the ski I rode most last season and the one that I really couldn't see losing out of my quiver.

can you compare the stiffness of:

latest version of the ARV before the ARVti took over
ARVti
ARV 86
ARV 96
ARV 106

for me please? I know they have ratings on the site and stuff but ehh

I got to ski the Black Crow Camox down in Argentina this summer. 181 with a 97 waist, perfect for all mountain with a lot of park thrown in. Had to ski some heavy wet pow and they worked great in that too. Super maneuverable with an 18 meter turn radius. Def not a noodle but still was able to work the butters without much effort. I think they are going to have a 90 waisted ski this winter I'm looking forward to getting some turns on.Also cool to be on something not everyone else has.

okay-- any idea where the old ARV fits in there? that and ARVti are my baselines here

also, the 96 is stiffer than the 86? that's surprising, i sorta thought the 86 would be somewhat of an ar7 replacement. is it more like a t hall replacement? or maybe somewhere between those two? im just going off the old ARV being softer than the standard ar7

shreditors are soft and a blast to jib around on.

broke mine and picked up some surface outsiders. much stiffer, but still fun. I'm a big fan of the 3 stage rocker.

Reviews on the 96 and 106 are coming soon. The only one of those skis I haven't skied at all is the Devastator. This is probably the most hotly contested (and fun to ride) category of skis at the moment. I'd probably chuck the Sir Francis Bacon and K2 Marksman in to the mix as well. Honestly the first question is, do you plan to ride any park/rails on this pair of skis?

took my poachers out for the first time this weekend and they fucking rip. very stiff for a park ski. theyre super stable on rails and at high speed and they bust through crud and variable conditions like nothing. super happy with them

Answer: No I do not plan on any rails or jumps in the park, but more of the natural jumps on the slopes and a little bit of cliff jumping

That's good news in terms of choice because you can get away without fat edges, which neither the Arv106 or Sir Francis Bacon have. They are probably my favourite two skis in the category. I'd say the poacher and arv96 are narrower than what you want.

I rock the K2 Shreditors with a 90 base.

They are super soft and playful off of jumps, jibs, and rails. But will still rip on groomers and all mountain. Really sturdy under my foot.
