East coast to west coast trip planning help

Hey all, just wanted to try and get some advice. I'm trying to plan a trip out west somewhere for about 4 people, for the beginning of April or late March. Im trying to narrow down which mountain Id like to go to. Id like it to be a reasonable priced trip. Places Ive been looking at are:

Breckenridge / Vail / Keystone, I would get the Epic 4 Day Pass
Big Sky
Park City

Things Im having trouble deciding are:
Which places would be best skiing spring time of year?
What place offers alot of different terrain/most terrain?
Is it worth it including a rental car in the trip, if not, what places offer free airport shuttles?

As far as skis go, Ive only skied on the east coast, 7 Springs and Snowshoe so I dont have super fat skis. My brother went to Breckenridge when he was in college with a pair of Rossi Scratches lol, are we going to have to rent pow skis or could we get a way with some all mountain stuff (Volkl Steps and K2 Public Enemys).

Im trying to keep costs within $1200 including flights, lift tickets, and hotel/condo.
Any advice or stories of how you did your trip is much appreciated.

If you are looking for the best price / skiing / short lift line places in the west I'd recommend Copper Mountain and this place called Loveland. They both are great with prices and have really really good skiing. Loveland is a little smaller but is super well priced and never has lines. I'd avoid breck and any other bail resorts because they are over priced and always crowded. Just not worth it IMO

If you stay in Salt Lake the lodging should not be expensive. I don't know about Big Sky but Vail is pricey so I would look to stay outside the village if you go there. You could probably stay in Bozeman and ski Bridger Bowl, which is a sweet mountain. I don't know how long it stays open.

well I ski 7springs too... go to breck. I have been there 3 times and Park City once. Breck/keystone are 100% better in my mind. Ill be there for spring break ( I go every year)
More promising skiing for late in the season. last year we got 12+ inches for 4 out of 6 days.
Also for skiing powder, if you want good powder skis you can demo from slopestyle(in breck). its 40 bucks a day which is the same as renting a pair of shitty skis.

lines at breck during spring break are never bad. the main lifts are the only bad ones with no more than a 5 min line

Thanks for the info, Ill start looking for early march then. Im assuming the nightlife is probably more poppin too during spring break. Was planning on staying in breck and then renting a van from the airport to be able to go to Vail and keystone. A guy I work with said the shuttle system from resort to resort there kindve sucks and is a time killer.
