Male birth control

So basically they've got this shot that prevents babies in the women who the men have sex with, if you didn't know that is how birth control worked. And it has always been for women, now they've got this shot for men they are testing.

They did a clinical trial, found it was 96% effective but cut the study short because of the side effects.

"However, due to side effects, particularly depression and other mood disorders, the researchers decided in March 2011 to stop the study earlier than planned, with the final participants completing in 2012."

WTF are people digging this shit up for, its from 2011, was this really not reported on five years ago? Now this shit is all over the internet because "women have been enduring this for 50 years, men should just suck it up"

When you read through the comment sections of some of these articles I just feel like all women hate men.

Let's dig up some old news story NS and talk about it, thoughts?

i didnt really read the thread, but they have had reverse condoms for a bit now. What I dont get is the difference between banging a diy pringles can with a condom in it and these reverse condoms. If anyone has used one, pm me

Hypothetically speaking, if there were a male form of BC (like a shot, pill, etc) that had little/no side effects would you be willing to take it?

For me personally I'd much prefer to be responsible for it myself than to bank on a chick being up to date on her pills and not having a pillpack that looks like an incomplete game of connect four.

Personally, I would not. They don't know the long term side effects and won't know until they are in full effect. I don't trust that shit. My girlfriend doesn't take BC cause of side effects. That's why condoms exist.

condom sex fucking sucks though. If I could take a birth control pill and go in raw vs condom, I'd take raw every time. Plus condoms are expensive. Plus, people who are allergic to latex.Seriously, why is it up to only woman to have birth control? Woman are fertile one week of the month, men are fertile 24/7. Doesn't it make sense for men to also take birth control? Additionally it will also take away all these "she told me she was on the pill" bullshit stories when a man gets a woman pregnant.

If the bc had little to no side effects I would take it for sure. I've seen it way too much where the girl is like "i'm on bc but I forgot to take it yeterday and a few days ago and like a couple times last week, but it's alright because I took it today."

I would like to see the long term effects of the male birth control though. I have a feeling that it might make the man sterile if used for an extended amount of time because it basically is taking away the ability for sperm to reproduce. So I guess I would for sure take it if they were able to prove that the male was always able to return to a fertile state.

But still it's kinda funny that something that allows you to have stress free sex (happy) causes depression (sad)

Basically I was saying you shouldn't be depressed when you have stress free sex. I know that's not how depression works but still

And he's spot on in the first part of his post. Sooo many women, especially in high school/college are on birth control and will be on birth control until they get married and decide to want kids. I think the average age now days for a woman to get married is like 27. And if you start birth control end of high school/beginning of college you can be on that thing for at least a decade. That's kinda crazy to think about.






















I want a girlfriend on BC... or just a girlfriend..

I'd take it in a heartbeat. How many of y'all mother fuckers got Lasik? That shit is only twenty years old. They dont know long term side effects of that either. And they know in rare cases it can worsen or blind you. Yet no one questions it.

In this study of 320, 20 complained of symptoms, almost half of which researchers confirmed were unrelated to the shot. So 10 in 320 dudes complained of "maybe" symptoms and they put a halt to the study. The real bitch of it is that the symptoms they're complaining about are the same fucking symptoms of the pill. People aren't bitching because people got symptoms. They bitching because 10 in 320 dudes whined and they hit the brakes on everything. If you have symptoms, stop fucking using it and find an alternative. Same as women. Instead of that, they said "shut down everything.....men might get sad"
