chicknfriedsteakDid you even read the qualifications?
.frenchydo people actually read the original post?
Iraq_LobsterI absolutely love The Count of Monte Cristo. It's got a really catchy plot but it does get confusing, especially keeping track of the characters. If you haven't read it you definitely should.

.lenconAre there any outdoorsy books people like? I've read some fictional climbing books and really enjoyed those.
I need to start reading again and reading more. And I need to start reading some books that are higher level.

chicknfriedsteakIf you have any interest in anthropology or just trying to understand humans in general I'd suggest "Sapiens" For what you would think might be a heavy read it's actually super interesting, well at least most sections. Also "Icebound" it's about true story about a woman who spent a year at the south pole as a doctor in the 90s, it's hilarious, hard to put down and also very interesting.
dkirseHam on Rye by Charles Bukowski is absolutely such a great read. Or anything by Joan Didion (especially Blue Nights or The Year of Magical Thinking).
Also Just Kids by Patti Smith is a fantaaaastic read. I read it during the time I backpacked through Europe and it was so so so captivating.
