I suggest buying a boot two or three sizes bigger than your foot to help prevent toe-bang. Full-tilts are great boots for people with wide feet, so definately stick with FT. Don't get custom foot beds or heat-molding... big waste of money. I'd recommend the b&e full-tilts because the green color looks good.



Ask stupid questions, get stupid answers. Go to a boot fitter or quit skiing.

lange, technica, and dalbello are all putting out bomber boots right now... the cochise is one of my favorite boots. the xt120 is a very versatile boot. as a former full tilt owner for 6 years or so..trust me they are shit boots when actually put through there paces.

To everyone, I'm an Illinois Skier. There is no boot fitter within 2 hours. I get that it was a dumbass question, I probably should have clarified. I order everything online.

You are still better off buying the boot when someone can actually assess your foot/ankle/leg/etc. A good way to do is wait to buy new boots until you go to your destination mountain- there is bound to be a semi-decent fitter in the resort town. I'm sure you could even make some phone calls and talk to one, describe your situation, make an appointment, and have him/her set a boot or 2 aside that he might think would work well for you until you get there.

Worst case, make the drive to the boot-fitter that's 2 hours away. Sounds a bit crazy, but your boots are your most important piece of ski gear and people drive that far quite often. I even had an NSer drive 5 hours each way to get his boots fit by me. Bottom line, there are few other options at your disposal before you "need" to gamble your comfort with online shops.

Either go to a bootfitter or get another pair of drop kicks. you could also try the new FT Tom Wallisch Pro's. I've heard great things.

How far are you from Chicago? - a 2 second search turned up this shop in Chicago Illinois that has custom ski boot fitting. Don't buy online.

Measure your foot carefully. Trace it on paper then measure it. Then order from someplace with a great return policy because you really have to try on a boot and spend some time in it to know if it is good for you.

This suggestion makes me laugh because I was fit into the Lange ZA last season, the perks of having an ultra low volume foot haha. TBH though, I've been super happy with the boots, but I'm more of an all mountain big mountain rider now and don't really go into the park anymore.
