Non-music to listen to while driving

hey friends I am driving across the country next week for the first time by myself and I need stuff to listen to besides music. Typically I just listen to music when I'm driving but 4 days is too much so I'm looking for some podcast suggestions or whatever. what ever you guys can suggest that's funny or interesting or will make time fly would be sweet.

Go to KindaFunny.com to learn about their podcasts. They're mainly gaming oriented but they have a show that is just four, sometimes five best friends that gather around this table. Each one comes with a randoms topic to discuss for your amusement.

Public radio can sometimes be good. It depends on the state and time of day though. Otherwise there are tons of interesting podcasts out there. One of my favorite is probably Science Vs. Provided you're not in the middle of nowhere, there always seems to be something on the FM band, and some more small time stuff that can be interesting on AM.

I am addicted to podcasts. So many awesome ones out there for free. I have gotten across the country several times with these. Here my favorite. You probably know some but just in case.

1. Radiolab: awesome heady stories generally dealing with science. best podcast ever. past couple episodes have been meh though

2. This American Life: Storytelling/journalism stories with huge range of topics. Recent episodes have been incredible

3. The Dirtbag Diaries: Stories about the outdoors and extreme sports

4. Reply All: often crazy stories about anything having to do with the internet, its culture, and how it affects us

5. Snap Judgement: Just an awesome storytelling podcast.

6. You Must Remember This (Charles Manson 12 ep. Series): Super interesting and disturbing detailed story of Charles Manson and the hippie culture of the 60s

7. Revisionist History: Malcom Gladwell's podcast where he takes a different spin/argument on things we think we understand

8. 99% Invisible: stories about often invisible but powerful affects of design and architecture
