Replying to How to get rust stains out of your clothes/outerwear
Well, in our sport obviously we all take a fall and land on a rusty rail thus leaving an ugly stain.
After flipping through some BST ads i notice a lot of people saying "has a small rust stain on (insert area here)" which is kind of BS when youre trying to sell something.
Anyway, my best way to get rust stains out of a coat (applys to pants as well) is to mix vinegar with a splash of lemon juice in a small bowl and give it a quick stir.
Take a tooth brush and get it saturated in the bowl so you can drip little spots onto the stain.
After they have sat for a little bit gently move it around with the tooth brush so the mixture is completely coating the stain (add more if need be) and let it sit for a couple minutes.
Then take a clean dish towel and dab firmly on the wet spot until it all comes up.
**sometimes it take more than one try and you have to get more aggressive with the toothbrush.
