Best way to learn tricks?

This year i'm really looking to learn some new tricks and pull them in the park. I've been trying stuff on the tramp and into the pool anyone tell me the best way they have found to learn new tricks b4 they actually go and pull them.

Step 2) Find a really good doer of things.
Step 3) Remove brain(his, not yours)
Step 4) Open your own cranium and insert skillful part of your brain in place of your own.
Step 5) Re-adjust craniums and release captive celebrity into his natural habitat.

Step 7) Get the hell away from my daughter!

I'm far from a professional skier, but the best way (in my opinion)to learn new tricks is to just watch other people do them until you've got a good idea of what the hell you're doing. Then just try them in the parks (preferrably newbie parks or else you'll cause trouble) until you've got it down.

i look for some kind of trick tip or ask sombody how you do them. cause with a lot of tricks there is usally somthing that helps u out a lot ( i.e with lincoln loops it really helps if u keep your eye on somthing the whole way around) then ill see if i can do it on a tramp then on a jump, preferably on a powderday

jumps are the best.
think about it for a long time till you can picture yourself doing it.... then if yu can try it on a trampoline - then just take it to the park. back country is good for some tricks but a lot of them are way easier in the park - ie switch stuff. hmm. yea.

I HATE water ramps. that is not skiing. it is nothing like skiing.... it teaches you bad habits and kills style. hmm. but I guess for learning the basics it is ok. but for anthing more off axis than a back flip - it sucks my ass. you can not edge on a water ramp and edge controle is everything in off axis spins and flips. this is just my opinion some people are going to be like - bull shit I was doing corked 12s on them.... but yea water ramps anoy the hell out of me. yep. k I am done my bitching for today. :)
