I have the discussion ever day with multiply people in the shop and honestly these days they are all much the same. There really is not one which stands head and shoulders above the rest. Some have features like being able to accept multiply norms in terms of boot soles, so for some people that may be a factor but for general park use you wont go far wrong comparing any 12/13 or 16/18 din bindings. 11 din bindings are perhaps the ones to avoid for more aggressive riders but beyond that level you cant really go wrong.

would highly disagree.......my sth's are highly temperamental and require adjustment almost daily.....my p14's/p18's I have ridden required weekly attention.......my tyrolia attack 13's literally once a month i check them and they are always in the same spot....

TYROL ATTACK SERIES BINDINGS are on a whole other level of durability ease of use and are highly adjustable.

p14s are based on a design that is now 20 something years old....

all that being said...knee bindings/tech fit anything with rear lateral release is what is going to be the future....if they figure more of a din out in the front pins i would rock tech fit bindings hard in the park....my 2cents

Funny, I have been using the same pair of STH16's on one ski or another for the last 7 years. Never had a problem, never had a pre-release.

i have sth2s they are two years old at this point...and the heel screw which slides the heel piece back and forth to adjust forward pressure always loosens on me.....might be a new sth problem.......i know the old sth steels are bomber and people have been riding pairs for 10+ years, but that binding is a bear trap and might not release the way you want it to....I have also eased up a lot in the way I ski, and most of my falls are falling funny doing stupid shit in the park that i shouldn't be doing...

STH2 (13 and 16), FKS 180 are both bomber. Recently got my hands on some Attack 18s and am super stoked bout them. Super burly, considerably lower stack height, light weight, and seem like overall great bindings. I have a feeling these will be my new go-to bindings.

Anything else is meh

have you tried sending them back for inspection or warranty? Im in the position where i get to use a lot of different bindings and really find little to no differences in the quality these days.

There are new bindings in the works which could potentially change the whole game and its not in the way you are suggesting.

I actually like the old STH better, it's doesn't get as sloppy as fast as the sth2..

IMO the attack 13/16/18, P12/14/155/18, sth2 13/16 are all really comparable. All 3 offer similar durability and each have a small special part of the binding the other 2 don't. There are small pros/cons in between them (i.e brake expense and durability etc) but really they don't differ a ton. Im not a huge fan of Marker honestly. You could buy any of these 3 and be satisfied, none are super superior over another

Everyone on this site loved to hate Marker. But I've been Marker bindings for a long time and never had an issue.

I agree. I've been using marker for quite awhile and never had a problem with them. All my skis right now have jesters/jester pros on them and i love them.

I must say I'm not a fan of the new 12/14 toe. I preferred the older one.

Tyrolia 15/18 din models with the aero race toe. I'm gonna hoard all the pairs I can find because they are bomber as fuck and they still use the aero toe on their burliest race binding if I remember correctly unlike the marker style toe on the attack series. I'm also fucking hate putting on fks in pow on sketchy perches on top of of steep lines. I have the same attachment to them as a lot of crusty old bums I know have to the solly 916 steels

Yesssss. The toe looks like a lump of random bullshit. The old toes (Green, or even the 2015s in white/blue/green) were the sickest in terms of color way and appearance. When i get tired of getting anally penetrated by my heel i ride my skis that have attacks on them. Its pretty nice to take a rest from it.

be careful about the way you talk about on3p and saga around me......
i still have my 07 saga anomie beaver fur and they refuse to die......and no other ski company makes stuff as tall...i am 6'3 i have tried planks, vitrika(close, just there stuff is shit), and saga kills it in the xxl.

and my on3p filthy riches, while they were dumb expensive are really one of the most versatile park ski i have ever skied......super jibby, very stable, hits huge jumps like a champ (70ft) and is just as fun doing a goofy lap thru 1-70 in keystone...and they charge. roughed up stuff on the top of imperial at break, cut right thru it....were they worth the 500 what ever dollars...eehhhhhhh....i think 300 bucks for a park ski is the window for me from now on....although the nomad in the 190 is appealing....

Peak 18's / Solly 916's for me. Its what my quiver is mounted with. Peak 18's are pretty much perfect in my books, mag toes, race pro heal with worm screw, low stack height and easy to clip into in pow.
