So I've been skiing park for the past couple years, and have some 2014 Full Tilt Dropkicks with a #4 Flex tongue. I recently moved to Montana though, and got a pair of powder skis (110 waist) for powder skiing. Do you think getting an #8 Flex tongue would make a difference, or should I just save the $50 and stick with the #4?
yeah i cant even imagine riding a 4 flex FT. Id bump up to an 8 for sure....unless you arent overflexing your boots, in that case you should keep the 4.
Yeah I'd go up to #8 tongue if you're overpowering the #4. I'm 150lb and the #6 wasn't enough for me when it got gnarly so I'm trying out the #10 flex this year.
GO WITH THE 8 FLEX. I've been using booters from 2013 and they have a 5 flex tongue on them...Im 160-170 lbs and can literally bend all the way forward to the tips of my skis. I've been looking for an 8 or 10 flex influence tongue for two years but there are no influence tongues anywhere. If you're wondering what an influence tongue is, its the tongue that the booter, high five, and mary jane use. I'd definitely go with the new tongue because it will definitely feel better to you.
