Replying to Camping through the winter in whis

I'm Broke and i don't have a car. I'm wondering if any of you have camped around whistler and have any tips or know good locations. I figure its best to camp on crown land. I'm hopefully gonna build a little shelter, get some scrap bricks and make a little fireplace. Any tips on cheep insolation would be really nice. Im also not sure how im gonna keep the thing 100% water tight yet.
