ripe is the time for the flight of plight from my mind
im not done with this mighty fight for my right to reap
the freedoms of which we so fondly speak
i wont follow the trends of the meek and the weak
im here to speak, to point out the bleak
LOOK
'join the ranks' they call
'Yank my crank ya wanks' i yell to all
then i trudge to my job at the mall
'Do This, Do That' yes sir, you're fat
im sure you raised a couple brats
proud to be another stat
you think youre the teacher
your wife, the things i could teacher
how to live with a preacher
its really not your best feature
your claim to fame
is smoking a joint under the bleachers
im done with this place
sick of your unchanging face
the same mundane pace
your insistence that its a race
Shoot me off, into space
it was almost too late
i was forgetting the sweet taste
of the fruits of freedom
which created our fathersfathers.. matyrdoms
'lest we forget' what violence begets
REAP! they cry from their graves
Leap! i jump, attempt to save
i begin to pave the way
i catch a glance of the suns rays
an omen of the many days
to be brave, to never slave
to rant and rave and crave and raise
and raze and blaze in my hazy (free?) maze
something grabs me, melds with me
i am held, you thought id say weld
visions of a tree felled
tossed, lossed, wrought about
.
I open my eyes
i see the sky, a cloud
unveiled is the shroud,
pierced, by an eagles cry
on top of a mountain
i discover my youthful fountain
i yell out that i am home
and I am not alone.
its only may
and im so FUCKIN glad i dont work at the Bay.

it was a REALLY old one.. i was a little embarrased that it came back actually, ive advanced since then.

but hey, you gotta remember who you were, or you'll never be who you are

.


I wrote that poem and was on the last line, at MAy, and i pressed some button, and it changed pages in my email, deleting it forever...

I was crushed... but I immediately started it over. The first one was better, but Im satisfied I caught most of the sentiments before they were re swallowed by the bubbling.

it made me want to right this one right quick

Walking home from sloppy joe’s my head falls in the gutter
It rolls around
Never frowns
And makes it to my doorstep

I peer inside, afraid of what shadows lurk around the corner
My just jests with me,
I fool around in the kitchen, ham and cheese if you please
My head is wobbling, dirty from the gutter, so I rest on the dark star

The rays burn the light, leaving light of soot
Spectacular to they eye, to the psyche madding
The philosopher paces while dealing with the wager
And my feet turn black from the reflection

?the liquid flows around me,
traveling with the wee dinosaurs
the mind maddens, the find falter
Yet it stands, as though it were the almighty itself

“Lay the hands down against my spirit,
Does thou disrespect thy vater like thus,
My love overfills for you, but you resent,
And fail to grasp the waters of eternity�

His interjections remain prevent in my thoughts,
Whatever, say I , I am one of now, not then
Drink to Dyonysus, to Garcia, to Thompson,
Drink you fools, so your head may be in the gutter.

It rolls once, twice, three times, and courses its way down
Dodging pebbles and what have you,
Rock and roll say I, with a dusty mouth,
For I have made it to my doorstep.

you have to be in my situation to understand it

reference to Dark Star and just smoking, which I did right before I wrote it

'black feet'
we were fucked up this weekend at my mtn house and my buddy walked around in the snow for an hour with no shoes, now he has minor frostbite so the bottom of his feet are black

the head in the gutter refers to the first stanza, in which hemingway would walk home drunk from sloppy joes in key west every day

I was rather drunk when I wrote it
