Gopro or DSLR camera for shot some good times with the homies ?

I recently start shopping for a good camera for this winter, Gopro or DSLR ? thank you boys

Dslr has higher Quality but a GoPro is way more convenient to take with you.
If you want to shoot more Images than Video go for the Dslr
Otherwise I'd go for the new GoPro or a similar one

if you have to ask....probably a gopro. DSLR is gunna take a lot more money and a lot more experience. GoPro you can just point and shoot.
