WPMattI am thinking about picking up a pair of these sticks for the 16/17 season. As a competitive big mountain ski, I am interested in how they perform. Any review helps.
gapersarefriendsI thought they were a fun ski, super poppy/playful, got a little scary going super fast through tracked snow though. Tips started to flail around. Then again i'm 6'2" 190lbs
_faaaI wrote a review about the 13/14s Shreditors. The newer Pettitors are the same just different topsheet.

It s not written in the finest English cause it isn t my mother tongue :D
WPMattDo you think smoothing the edges out around the tip/tail would make them less catchy and more buttery?
gapersarefriendsThey were super buttery i didn't find them catchy at all, they just had a lower speed limit than what i enjoy
WPMattWhere did you mount them? Would you recommend true center?
_faaaThe Pettitors don t even have the core centered :D For a max of jibbing and sacrifying its speed and huck performance go for -2 from core center. You can easily see it on the scale on the side wall.
I d recommend +2 from traditional.
LazerHawk?
CadeRCollin Collins rides a 179 I believe and he's like 6'2
-SnowSnoli-I love this ski as a playful Pow ski. I've used it numerous times in comps too. But from experience unless you have a good quiver. For hard pack conditions they are far to soft in the tail. You really have to land well centered. I'm 170 use a 179 mounted 2 back from center.
For a real competitive pow ski look into the pinnacle 118. It's a sick ski. I mounted mine +5 in front of recommended to make it more playful and its rad!

Mattgeraghty3As a competitive Big Mountain Ski I feel they may be a bit too soft for you. I rode a pair in a 2* FWQ even in Grand Traghee and they didn't feel that stable on steep and fast sections but on the other side of things just ripping them around the resort and messing around was super fun!
LazerHawkWhat size were you on, how big are you?
LazerHawkThanks. That sounds perfect for me, I like heavy skis. As long as I stay centered, it should be damp enough for me
LazerHawkShould I mount them -1 or -2 from center?? Hmmm
LazerHawkHmmm, Ive never mounted a ski exactly at center. I liked -2 on both the 179 and 189 shreditor 112.
All the K2 athletes ski them at center though, so im sure that went into the design a bit.
