Style is alive and well, the thing that people seem to forget is that style is subjective. It is your own unique way of skiing and how it looks. Without diversity style is irrelevant. The only thing that has changed is that there are far more sub disciplines of style then there used to be. Watch what you like and let others do the same and lets stop taking how skiing looks so fucking seriously.
Ever heard of The Bunch, B&E, Trashparty, or about a thousand other individuals? Style is not dead. There has always been stylish skier, non-stylish skiers, and a ton inbetween and there always will be.
I think that the Bunch, B&E etc. are in some cases trying too hard. I prefer unaffected, natural style like Keegan Kilbride, Kevin Curran, etc. If you don't think those guys are stylish you are obviously a goddamn idiot.
As an old guy, I miss the days when everything was super fresh and just doing a backflip with your skis crossed seemed crazy and wild. Obviously those days are over.
Thank God the style police are back and well, here to make sure everyone still thinks that their lack of stylistic progression and wearing of saga is still cool, amen
Style has changed a lot but I would not say its dead haha. Personally my favorite type is usually something like these edits but there are so many other cool ones too.

I actually don't think there was a tipping point. In a way, its always been a pull that every skier has felt to return to our racing/competitive freestyle roots. I would love to say dubs were the tipping point, but before that it was the cab 10.
Contests simply can't be a place where style exists. There's something wired deep into too many people's brains that will never accept the idea that lower rotations/flips can ever beat higher. Skiers are just wired to spin and flip until they reach the limits of the human body.

I mean... I feel like you are an idiot participating in one of the least thug sports around and dressing like a thug. Secondly for criticizing others for what they're wearing. Skin tight can look strange sometimes but it seems less awkward than thug style given that skiing isn't something that gangs just go out and do. That said, what you wear doesn't matter and never should matter. Wear what you want and let others do the same. My only requirement for what others should wear is that it's warm enough to keep them from getting hypothermia.

Nah, skinny stuff looks like you're trying super hard to fit into a 70s rock band. Not to mention it is much colder.

Hey man, don't be a woos. It really doesn't affect me that much I was just saying. I'm not super thug I just like a little extra sag going on, I miss the era when that was popular because I think it looks cool. i'm just picking on tight styler's, that doesn't mean they can't shred or look good doing it I'm just picking.

Now it just seems to be the standard.personally, I think tall/ baggy clothes looks better because the tricks look smoother. With tight clothing every little movement is noticeable and I think it affects style.
