Looking to work at a resort this winter

So I'm taking a post grad year this winter, and I want to work somewhere out west. What are some good resorts to work at that would pay decently and help with housing and what not? Any feedback would help. Thank you.

I ski Mammoth about 3 weekends a month and 35 days a year. I absolutely love it. I would rather ski Mammoth than any area in Summit County or Aspen.

I did my half decade of ski bum years at Squaw, and I prefer Squaw over Mammoth. Squaw is much steeper, and you don't have the winds turn upper mountain pow into windbuff as often. Of course Mammoth's wind can keep conditions fun for weeks after a storm. Stuff gets less bumped out at Mammoth when compared to Squaw in part due to the wind.

If you like park better definitely go to Mammoth. I have a ski lease in Mammoth but I am only there for weekends and the occasional week so I can't say how living there permanently is. Mammoth has great bus transit which is nice. When I lived in Tahoe City the public transportation was not great.

Neither place is cheap and not having lived in Tahoe in a while I don't know how well I can evaluate the market.

I got a job at Heavenly after a quick phone interview. I applied for a bunch of jobs to get that one interview tho. Employees get an epic pass good at all vail resorts, so ill definitely be making some wknd trips to Park City.

Currently gonna be living in the employee housing, but I really dont want to. finding housing is tough.

Also looking for work but somewhere in Summit County. Not sure I want to work at the resort, mostly looking for a night job so I can ski everyday. I'm from Iowa so I owe myself more than a few days on a mountain.

Last I heard Beaver Creek is still hiring ski school with housing available. Housing everywhere going quick though so make some moves now or you'll be stuck paying $1200 a month for a harry potter hole.

I work at big sky and it's super chill. I make 12.50 an hour and I live in Bozeman so I don't use the housing but I think they give you a great deal on housing too. Plus Bozeman is the sickest.

The Peruvian lodge close to Alta has dorms for employees, and you can choose between a free pass to Snowbird or Alta. They're looking for a few different types of jobs, but I don't know how much each of them pay.

What exactly do you do? And do you go to school in Bozeman? Im starting my undergrad at msu in fall of 2017

Yeah I go to to school at Bozeman high right now. And I just instruct little kids it's pretty chill.

Rapid City...you'll catch me at terry peak during winter break...but I go to school in reno and ski tahoe nowadays!

There's a ton of west river kids that go to msu though.

Since I work at big sky I get a free gold pass. So I only have to pay for one at bridger and if you buy a bridger pass early they are alot cheaper.
