are shoe sizes bigger or smaller than ski boots sizes

k i am thinking of buying my friends old salomons and my feet are size 8 and same witht the salomons would the salomons be smaller than size 8 or bigger?

TRY THEM ON BEFORE YOU BUY THEM

if you cant try on that exact pair try on the same model at a ski shop.
