What part of the sport/industry is so backwards that you just want to sell your skis and curl up into a fetal position?


I think the elitist attitude that runs rampant amoung many 12-18 year olds, 40+ year old racer dads , and employees at several resorts can be a huge buzzkill. Extreme sports can create extreme egos.

The 75% of dealers who don't pay their bills on time, or even worse, the 50% who push it out to 120+ days past due. Or don't pay at all. On the flip side, I love calling and asking for money, so I have that going for me.

What gets me down is when your ski buddy's decide not to go up when the conditions aren't "perfect".... I mean personally I will have fun either way. But knowing that some people would rather piddle dick around in the lodge than ski shitty conditions makes me sad.

Nothing could ever make me stop or want to stop skiing save complete catastrophic bodily ruin.

Seriously...if anything that is happening "within the industry or sport" makes you want to quit you're a fucking poser. I enjoy ski culture and whatnot but nothing that happens within the pro ski bubble could ever make me less pumped to actually go step into bindings. It just has no bearing on my life whatsoever. As long as I'm healthy and have the time and ability and a few friends to pull off this ski lifestyle, I'm good. And I'm 32 and have built my life around skiing.

English people in the alps.. Their annoying voices, shit food and overall lack of ski skill or respect for the local culture and language. Namely , Meribel , Val Disere , Verbier..
I'm moving to Russia this winter to get away from them all..
