I need a helmet, i have a poc helmet, pretty good but poc helmets dont fit me right, i was wondering about getting a smith maze helmet, anyone else recommend anything else?

I have a maze and enjoy it, just make sure your current goggles fit with it and the fitting thing it has at the back. Id go Maze, Giro Combyn, or Anon Raider (based on my fit of my head) but all are great helmets.

Giro Combyn is good because it can withstand multiple crashes and hits. Smith Maze is great as well, mine have saved me from becoming a vegetable a good couple times.

Ive had a classic Bern helmet for the past few season and it works like a charm. I've taken many falls and never gotten a concussion (knock on wood). Plus it looks pretty dope.

This is my choice last two seasons. I remove the ear pads and wear a folded head tube under as a bandana. That with I/o7's is a good fit.

Go and try a load on at a shop, bring your goggles along to see if you like the fit with and without goggles. As theirs nothing worse finding a helmet that fits and you like but don't fit/ work well with the shape of the goggles.

I had the smith maze for the last two years and honestly fucking hated it. i thought it was gonna be good and it was super light and comfortable but ever time i hit my head on the ground even a little bit, my head hurt like a bitch the rest of my day. that also could've been just me and my skiing but ive heard similar things from my friends.One of them actually breaking his smith maze in half, getting a concussion and proceeding to buy a new maze helmet. (he slammed on a cork 3 attempt on some tiny ass jump, wasn't to big of a slam but he just landed on his side and bounced his head.) i ended up completely destroying mine tho over the summer jibbing. looking to buy a poc

IMO the Maze isn't a super protective helmet, it's a bit cheaper, but has a more freestyle target market. I love mine, light, fits my head great, it's a good helmet for what I got mine for. Pocs are great helmets tho

I do not recommend Anon Raider; it was way to bulky for me.

I love the Smith Gage. Works well with I/O Goggles too.

if you've taken a bunch of falls, you should get a new helmet. they get less protective each time you have an impact

I have been wearing the same smith maze for 2 seasons. For goggles I've worn Oakley crowbars and dragon NFX. I like my dragons more because I'm a poser.

I've been wearing the giro combyn for the last two seasons and I love that helmet. It's so comfortable and very protective and since it's a soft shell it kinda flexs and forms to you head instead of fitting or not fitting like a hard shell helmet is.
