Replying to Guardian 16's vs. Adrenalin 16s
In the market for some AT bindings. Do not have boots that are tech-compatible yet (plan on eventually going more lightweight down the road), so ive narrowed it down to these two bindings. Will be mounted onto a pair of 4FRNT Ravens.
Which is the better choice for someone who is planning on doing about a 50/50 split of in-bounds skiing and sidecountry/day tours? A concern is durability no doubt and ive read the guardians are a bit heavier than the Adrenalins and also may have issues with the aluminum chassis breaking. I don't plan on skiing Hoji-esque lines (mostly touring in the greater Wasatch Range) and on the flipside of that, they seem to be absolutely killer and do the job just fine. Also read about issues with the Adrenalin where snow gets built up and sometimes makes the binding go into walk mode when you don't want it too. But the binding is also rather light due to its plastic parts and gets the job done as well.
Price isn't really a major concern, but various online retailers are offering up some sweet deals with the adrenalins, but also have no issue paying nearly full-price for guardians.
Thanks in advance, yo.
