watching the new bunch edit reminded me of like a supreme skate edit or something. Also it seems like they were just fucking around, hitting short rails with pretty much no lips.
Thoughts?

a_burgerinstead of making this about me can you tell me how it is any different?
You obviously can't seem to grasp the concept of people having different opinions d=from your own so im done replying
Me_N_ChrisIf you are a skier hitting a tiny feature, it is not cool because everyone can do it. It may be fun. But to me it is not cool. And with this in regards to filming, I believe you film cool stuff, not boring things that everyone can do.
My point is don't film tiny little features doing simple tricks because it is worthless in my opinion as stated above.
The reason I'd like to exclude style is simple. If you think The Bunch is stylish, I disagree. I think they ski funny and dress funny. I think the OG Jiberish Team is stylish. You might disagree with that. You might think they ski funny and dress funny. Style is subjective because no one can agree on the best style, and everyone has a valid argument to why their style choice is the best. I wanted to do away with an off-topic subjective debate on style, and stay only on the objective debate "is urban skiing slowly becoming skateboarding?"
So it's possible to kickflip a snowboard. Maybe I should have said Fakie 720 Gazelle Flip. But still it stands. Having something attached to your feet or not changes the rules of how those sports operate. The mechanics are undeniably physically different. Thus a sport that requires attachment to your equipment cannot become a sport that has no attachment to its equipment.
If you don't understand anything I just said I will put it as plainly as possible:
No, urban skiing is not slowly becoming skateboarding because it physically cannot.
Don't film tiny little features doing simple tricks because it is worthless.
Style is subjective.

Me_N_ChrisHow are you a skier when you can't discern that there is an inherent difficulty difference in rails with different lengths and kinks. So to put it simply:
LONGER RAILS ARE HARDER. RAILS WITH KINKS ARE HARDER.
You keep telling me I'm the one that can't get my mind around your ideals because apparently you are the credible all-seeing all-knowing authority in the matter. But you know, how can that be? Especially when I've been on Newschoolers longer than you, I'm older than you, I've produced and skiied in 2 feature length ski movies that premiered in movie theaters, And just finished working at Level 1 Productions for the summer. So I pose the question, why can't you adapt your ideologies when presented with new information that trumps your old views.
And if you don't believe my presented credentials please reference my profile and https://vimeo.com/user23344012/videos
a_burgerOk your right, difficulty may not be as subjective as style. Perhaps I should have avoided all those metaphors
What I'm saying is there is no wrong way to ski, its not wrong to film small features. Let people do what they want. You came in this thread all mad that someone hit a 3 stair and put it in their edit, but why care? Especially if you are such a pro, why does it matter what other skiers are doing?
Me_N_ChrisI got mad over that because I see things like that in Bunch edits, and they receive a lot of praise for it even though I don't feel it should be. Messing around on small features with friends is fine, and it's even often very fun. I just don't like it when small features receive more praise then when skiers show their talent and endurance when trying to tackle technical tricks on gnarly features. And I'm sorry for getting irate over the subject. It's just a pet peeve of mine. And I'll try to reconsider some views of mine also.
