it's usually hit with lots of pow, such that you can come up way short and be relatively okay. many including chad himself have come up waaay short and been fine beyond bruises (a concussion here and there wouldnt surprise me)
it's mostly just that tanner and olsson are straight SAVAGES and hit it in the spring, so when he came up short it was way more serious than normal. i seriously think that is still one of the gnarliest things ever done in skiing. i remember reading jon said he had trouble sleeping the night before cause he was so scared of what was in store the next day and i dont blame him
