californiagrownOn the hill baggy clothes are warmer and provide better protection from the snow when i ragdoll, tomahawk, and fall over in the lift line. But they are heavier.
Off the hill, i prefer to wear clothes that fit and complement my physique and personal aesthetic preference. I also prefer to have other adults (especially ones in positions of power) view me as an equal... not a shithead college kid which is what your apparent fashion sense conveys. Id rather not have to work hard against a shitty first impression all the time.
It really depends what clothes you like, and how you want the outside world to perceive you. "not giving a fuck" is a disingenuous, antisocial cop-out btw.
This. One thing I would like to add, is that for those of us who look way younger than our age, it's a better idea to wear clothes that have a normal fit. Otherwise I just look like a 24 year old highschooler, which is super annoying. In my opinion, on the hill you can wear whatever you like, but you will definitely hear some comments about your outerwear though. Like last year this girl told me that I looked like a marshmallow. No big deal though, they're just classic gaper comments from people outside the ski/snowboard community.
At the end of the day, you can wear whatever you want.
