Bindings on skis

me and my friend are trading skis and his have his bindings set to 28.5 boots. Hes taking the bindings off and im mounting my own bindings on them for a 26.5 boot size, will it mess up the ski?

Nope. Most skis can get 2 or 3 mounts before they run the risk of snapping.

Also the boot size isnt how you measure the length of the bottom of tje boot. It is measured in mm and is usually anywhere from 250 - 350. Mine says it on the heel piece but I have also seen it on the bottom of the boot. I have dabello voodoos size 29 or 28.5 and they are 317 mm. So if you were to switch boots that are both 26.5, the new pair may have a different plastic bottom length and not fit. Hope this helped

more like 3-4 times, or 4-5 times if there is a metal laminate.

It won't mess them up much! You might have to move down a cm or two if the Screw pattern/holes don't correspond in a way that works. But other than that you should be alright!

I wouldn't mount more than 3 times. After 3 it becomes a shot-ski.

Yeah, its totally up to the skier, but I've ridden on skis on their 5th mount, no problems. but they had metal in them. after 3 or four mounts, it can get sketchy...
