Nordica Soul Riders for Park

Thinking about getting a pair of these. I ski almost all park with the exception of a few days out west each year. Im currently on 176 Thall's but would like a ski with rocker and a little wider. These seem to fit the bill however I'm wondering if 98 underfoot is a little too wide. Anyone ride these that could give me an idea how they perform on jumps and jibs as well as all mountain? Is a wide ski noticeably heavier than something narrow. (I figured I'd get used to it and adjust after a few days) I'm about 5' 9" so I'd most likely get the 185's since I've heard they measure short. Any input is appreciated!

They've become pretty much a dedicated park ski, so they'll ski park really, really well. Also 98 isn't actually that wide, most pros (non-comp) are riding skis between 95 and 102 in the park these days and I personally ride the Kartel 98's which are a good bit heavier than Soul Riders and never have had an issue with weight. Maybe look at the 177 at your height if you want to throw them around a bit more, Nordica measures pretty much on the money from my experience and 177's are more than long enough for park. There a decent ski, but mine were not durable at all. Based are pretty fucked and easy to crack the edges.

I skied them all of last winter OP. They're kind of a weird ski. In perfect conditions such as light snow in the park, or smooth groomers, they edge extremely nicely. However, in conditions such as Hood during the summer, I found that under speed the tails got out of control very easily. It's an amazing ski when the conditions are right for it, keep in mind that mine are mounted very near center though.

Durability wise, I feel they're pretty solid, other than the edges. I wallie'd off every rock I could find, and the bases have lasted quite well
