JGWISince when is anything not physical?

Ideas, technically, are not physical. We can look at the brain, see neurons and synapses firing, but we can't point to and measure ideas. Same also goes for consciousness, we have yet to crack that one.

Honestly, I do like the idea of a soul (a completely non-physical, immaterial, and eternal essence) but why is there any reason to believe that such a thing actually exists? We can think of it and discuss it, but simply because something is able-to-be-thought it does not automatically mean that it exists.

Believing that the soul exists also has its problems: How does the completely non-physical physically cause the physical (my body) to move? Where does the completely non-physical physically exist within the confines of a physical body and how can it have a physical limitation (i.e. our soul does not exist outside our body)? This is the famous and unresolved Mind Body Problem and if you can actually solve it, you should be on TV or something :)

But you are doing none of that. You refuse to look at, analyze or posutulate on the circumstances and possible causes.

People hate your religion because they preach acceptance but do the exact opposite especially towards their LGBT members of family and of church. People hate your religion because the church doesn't care where that money comes from. "Oh biggest cancer charity scammers in the history of the US? Well that's OK, when you're caught we will keep that money instead of returning it to the victims." And finally I think people hate your religion because they twist the words of the Old Testament and even their own religious documents to fit their specific needs and then call them "revelations".

This is pretty spot on. You don't have to be some sjw to realize that the LDS church is a repackaged, rebranded Christianity, sold to people to comfort them. It's a money hungry machine that preys on fear and turns hard earned money into false hope. The whole system of the church is set up like a business, and the missionaries are the Avon ladies. Except that door to door salesmen actually get paid for their work, missionaries have to pay to work for the church. The whole thing seems like a good way to make a shit load of UNTAXED profit to me. $8 billion in tithing annually. Oh but they donate to charities right? Haha yeah no, not mormons. 0.7% of their income goes to charity. The most they do to help out is run a few thrift stores and ignore the homeless people on the very doorstep of their holiest building. Such exalting examples of good Christians.

To be fair, no one actually knows how much the church donates to charities. Their organization is so secret and compartmentalized that its rumored not one member in the church knows of all their finances. However with the numbers provided by church insiders, its determined that under 1% of their finances go to charitable work.
