Those are pretty sick....only thing that bugs me is that you need a boot that can accept pins.

While the limited compatibility is annoying, the tech toes are what is great about them. It's a super simple design, so they won't let you down. And the single pivot, tech toes are the most efficient way to walk. If you're not looking at your feet, it's hard to tell that you are not in Dynafits.

But what about the switch? Or just jumping in general? It's also nice because a bunch of people have quivers mounted with pivots. Very few people have a quiver of skis mounted with Beasts or Kingpins. So you'll have more of an option of skis to ride while touring rather than the one pair of skis you have mounted with kingpins.

What do you mean the switch? I know many people that ride only on tech bindings, FT12, kingpins or a beast 14/16 and huck their meat on the daily. The FT12s may not be the best, but the guy that rides them is a pretty small dude. I feel like these are a revisited version of day wreckers, but with an even smaller use. Also with more and more of these resort use tech boots coming out, the non-compatibility of WTR soles is gonna be killer.

Also, quiver killers for for easy switchability to keep you quiver diverse.

Lastly MSRP of $400?!?!? Ill get any tech binding for a little more brand new or the same price used.

If you're not stoked on it don't get it. I know I would use this and many others like it as well.

Also $400 makes sense, it's the only thing like it. And no, Trekkers don't even compare. And it's carbon man. And it's the first year it's out so I'd expect it to maybe be a little higher than they want, they hand make it in the factory in SLC? I mean work goes into the A senders man

I think its cool that is made in SLC and great to see the little guy putting out new product to hopefully push the big guys to reengineer some new ideas. I guess I just dont see why someone with tech boots wouldnt be using a tech binding.

okay I do get you there, that's probably the only thing holding me back. I do wish you could use a normal toe but the tech toe are the best ways.

I guess I can answer that for myself. I have never really found a set of tech bindings that I can trust as much as my FKS. This is the lightest, most efficient way to adapt those bindings to my boots that already have tech inserts. I might be a very small sample size that this appeals to, but it is exactly what I am looking for.

Have you skied a kingpin 13 or beast 14/16? Have you seen what Hoji skis on beasts? Let alone so many others. I get that the speed races are ultra light and not meant for hucking, but they have come a long way.

Im curious, what kind of skis are you touring on?

Yes I have skied both bindings, and the skis that I just sold were kingpin 13's on K2 Annex 118's and i just never felt as confident ripping big, fast turns and dropping cliffs on them as I did on any other ski with an FKS 18. It's definitely personal preference, but I would rather tour on something playful and have the confidence of FKS bindings on the way down. Especially if I am buttering and landing switch off of cliffs and jumps. My setups will be the K2 Marksman and ON3P Caylor with FKS 18 and these adapters because that is what I think will fit my style of skiing better.

But as I said earlier, it's all up to personal preference. This is just the setup that suits me best.
