freeskier517Soooo stoked to finally here that Axis Freestyle will be opening up in Vaughn, Ontario!!!! Finally we can now have skiing all year round!! Has anyone else been invited/signed up for the beta testing session of the dryslope and trampoline facility yet?
MinggGorilla_Wallace or whatever his name is said he got to test it out a bit! It looks pretty rad. When I get back to Buffalo I'm definitely gonna head up there and try it out!
HawleywoodSigned up for Sunday!! Looking forward to waxing my skis and checking it out ;)
Mr.BishopSo jealous!

Blue_FishMingg, you were mentioned today. Told the guys some Newschoolers lifer was going to drive up from Buffalo. They were pretty stoked.
.
Mr.Bishopman this is cool shit. Makes me miss living in Collingwood.

HawleywoodHad a blast! So nice to be back on my skis in July! Feels a little different, it's harder to carve but got used to it. They try to keep it wet to keep the speed up and I had fresh wax on my skis which helped a lot. Used toko blue and it held up really good. I will be going back for sure.
MinggDude lets meet up in like September and shred some soggy carpet
HawleywoodTotally I'm there! Takes an hour from my place. Just say when. Or even come knock on my door on your way by! Buffalo right?
MinggHell yeah!! And yup I'm from the buffalo area!

SimsybI got to ride it yesterday and it was surprisingly good!! I was the only skier at the session which was a bummer but still had a blast. It takes a bit to get use to the material. They have a few nice jib features. The tramps are really good, intact the whole foam pit area and tramps where way better than I expected. The only problem I had was the dry slope was pretty slow but I guess it's the beta and their just testing everything out. Overall I had a blast and would defiantly go back!

Mr.BishopHow big is it?
SimsybWell tbh bigger than I thought! The dry slope has 3 different lines with 2/3 features in each. The tramp section is pretty big with a lot to do in there. They are building this launch system that is apparently going to launch u into a foam pit and it goes up to 35mph. Facility overall is decent in size.

originalReally down to hit this up on Sat/Sun. Was there any mention as to how much a season/multi pass would cost?
dbchiliThat's sick
How were the jobs they had to ride? I've seen pics and the ones they chose seemed a bit stupid to be honest, the the short boxes and those boxes with the rails mounted on top, but maybe they were better to ride? Do they have any regular rails?
SimsybThat's the one downfall I forgot to mention! They have like 3 thin boxes, 2 small down rails but when I went there was no ride on and just there for borders to hop on, and 2 rails mounted on top of boxes. Like don't get me wrong there still fun to ride but I wish they just had some normal rails that everyone can hit

SimsybNo bro but I was thinking the exact same thing
Blue_FishAny way we can get this on the front page of NS? These guys are awesome and trying to start a great thing for us.
Spread the stoke :)

Ascent_CinemaWish they had this closer to Massachussets
Troy.Is this Axis related to the one that Chris Hatch started in PC?
The referenced post has been removed.
AxisFreestyleGlad you could make it out! For sure we're working on the ventilation system but it's starting to cool down for fall so it will be MUCH nicer soon but putting A/C in our warehouse would be extremely pricey.
Front what we from the sessions, it is possible to edge still, but less.
Some skis that are twin tip / reverse camber style tend to ride better.
Next time we will make sure to set up a longer rail(s) for you, just let us know =)
Thanks for sharing the stoke!
