What happened to cults?

I might be the only one with this question. Maybe it's just cuz im a noob and i haven't been around long enough. But what exactly happened to them? They seemed to be so popular and now they are deserted. Can anyone fill me in?

ive been on here for 6 and a half years and nobody has ever used cults since ive been here besides ladiesmen, which is probably dead now I haven't been in there in a few years.

there was a time were cults were probably very useful and relevant but like bishop said, facebook groups squashed it and ns cults don't compete.

I mean you could boost activity in there, invite people and spend a ton of time working to make it active?

Activity is what breeds people going in. You just gotta get people to subscribe to the forums and then they'll get something in MyThreads when a new post crops up.

No. Upvotes would come back if activity isn't changed without them and there is mass consensus of the community they should be there.

Literally every time I was fighting a battle in the forums explaining the benefits of voting in forum threads, 90% of people just attacked me and those who liked them stayed silent.

When you agree with a point, its important to speak up - not just upvote.

Activity breeds activity.

The more stuff there is in there, the more people will come back. Its hard to birth something new, because you have to do a ton of posting.

As well, encourage people to add it to their thread 'follow' list, which will come up in MyThreads. Also think about the alerts system, and encouraging quoting to bring people in.
