Surface Daily help

Never rode the daily...but I have a bunch of other Surface skis and have loved all of them. Daily is going to be my next bigger all mtn ski. Lot of people have had issue with durability but for me personally I have never had that. But im not a big rail rider much anymore either

My friend owns a pair (live lifes technically, same ski though) and I've ridden a pair a handful of times.

They're much like any other surface ski where they are on the stiffer side and like to go fast. Durability wise, top sheet chipping is the one thing you'll have to worry about, otherwise they're durable. I've never skied them in powder, which I have no doubt that they do well in, but they are quite fun on hard pack and chop. They hold an edge pretty damn well and won't squirrel around on you at high speeds or on bumps. That being said, they are much more slashy and making tight little turns requires more effort than other softer, shorter radius skis. Also, they are not very damp either, which I personally like about surface skis.

If the deal is good I say go for it. I plan on getting the 181's for a touring ski at some point

I havent ridden the daily but I have a pair of double times, and they are indestructible I use them as rock skis I skied a 1500 foot long run of rock, needles, logs, ect and they hold up
