Glad this was in the summer with no people on it, this company really needs to get checked, with this many problems they must be using crappy materials or something , probably just to save a few bucks, people in this world are way to much about them selves

Most of the past issues were bad welds on towers or simply mechanical failure. Borvig hasn't been in business since the 1990's, so id assume getting lifts repaired is a little more of a challenge. This looks more like unstable ground than an issue with the lift itself. It passed inspection in 2015 so I think the Maine board of Elevator and Tramway Safety should step up is game with inspections, especially since this is the fourth lift accident since 2007.

The top of lift has a brook which drains the whole unload area running a few feet away from the operators shack, so it seems like the rock it was anchored into failed
