FUCK THE 1 FOOT GRIND

I THINK THAT THE 1 FOOTER WAS A DISGRACE TO FREESKIING AND A BIG STEP FOR AGGRESSIVE INLINE. THE 1 FOOTED GRIND WAS SO GAY THAT IT SHOULDV LOWERED HIS AVERAGE.

THE ONLY DECIDING FACTOR FOR TANNER AND GAGNIER WAS THAT STUPID 1 FOOTER AND THE 1 FOOTER WON.

THIS SHIT WAS ON TV AND WAS A SERIOUS STEP BACK FOR OUR KIND OF SKIING

It's a question of whether or not skiers want to let our style choices be dictated by snowboarding forever. Read your magazines this year, I guarantee there will be some pertinent discusison.

before i say anything i would like to say that i don't rollerblade, i skateboard and i do respect the skateboard scene much more than the rollerblade scene.
lets look at this this way alright:

skateboarding is superior to rollerblading because of the ability to do a wider variety of much more technically difficult tricks. right? right.

skiing has the ability to be superior to snowboarding because of the ability to do a wider variety of more technically difficult tricks (i.e. one foot slides, nose/ tail presses, more variety of grabs possible, its more difficult to ride switch on skis than switch on a snowboard, etc.). right? right.

limiting what tricks/ stunts people "should" be doing on skis because they might remind you of your ignorantly biased opinion that you think rollerblading is gay is beyond moronic not to mention hypocritical. the fact stands that one footed slides are harder than two footed slides making them a more technically difficult trick. if we were to limit these harder tricks wouldn't snowboarding have the advantage over skiing?

on the contrary i do agree with the style thing. yes some people don't have the best "tanner steeze" while doing one foot slides. but i have seen one foot slides done with style and honestly i enjoy doing the trick myself. not to mention there are a crapload of other styles out there besides tanner and i only think the range of styles will grown with time, just look at skateboarding. the end.

dude, big fuckin deal, it's not that bad, i agree its not the coolest thing ever, but damn dude it's still gotta be harder than just jibbin the rail regular, i think skiers need to start doin different shit on rails and thats just one of them, not the coolest but oh well

yeah, i would say that a 450 on 270 out is better than rightside 270 on, but other than that jon killed the jumps way better than anyone else.

I learned one footers at the end of last year, and I think they are fun, and more difficult than two footed slides, so i will continue them. Ha.

Personally, I don't like one foot grinds either, but I don't think that was what made gagnier win the x-games. Tanner put both hands on the snow when he landed the last cab10, and gagnier nailed it so... Personally I prefer tanner's style and grabs, but gagnier does the same tricks natural than unnatural so they're just different skiers

my friends cousin was tryin to convince us that rollerblading was cool so he showed us a bunch of videos that he said were really good, and it just made me hate rollerblading more because people actually try that hard to be gay.

I think we need to all TURN OFF OUR CAP LOCKS and try this: I will ski the way I want, and in return you must ski the way you want. Giray, you must also ski the way you want. skiing will go in many directions, the cool shit will stick around because its dope and the "homosexual" shit will crumble because its gay and no one wants it... I agree that the one foot grind is gay, but while tanner did a swith 10, gagnier did a switch 10 tail grab which adds to the difficulty.

Why doesn't everyone who has a problem with one footers, lipslides, presses, Gagnier, Tanner, or Jon's style, grab a pair of skis, go out and create your own style, make the X Games, and showcase your skills to us all as to what's the "right" way to ski!!!
