Moment Deathwish

As the time of year comes that all of the new gear hits the shelfs and there are sales on last years skis, I thought that it is time to finally get new skis. For the past few years, I have been rocking the K2 Domains, and the Armada JJ's. I am now currently looking for an elusive one ski quiver, with the Moment Deathwish. I am 5'8" and 125lbs, and ski resorts and the backcountry around Colorado. The question that is now upon me is, 174cm or 184cm? I demo'd the Deathwish last year in 174cm, but have never tried the 184's. Also, are there any other skis that preform similar and are the same sizes(ish) that I should check out?

I did like the 174's, but only had the chance to try them in spring slush.

Okay. Well a longer ski will be more stable at speed and float a little better, a short ski will be easier to turn and more maneuverable in tight spaces. So if you like skiing big, fast, straight lines, I'd say go longer, and if you like tighter, more technical terrain, I'd say go shorter.

I'm only 5'4 and I ski the Praxis Concept, which has the same triple camber shape the Deathwish has, in a 176 and don't have any problems with it. If that helps.

We've got a few pairs of the 174 Deathwish left in stock and on sale :D

The 184 might be a little much for you unless you charge hard and ski super aggressively 80% of the time.
