KretzschmarThanks for this lovely insight Parker
icyburrRule # 1 of Newschoolers - Never hate on / insult SIMPLE.
Rule # 2 of Newschoolers - Never hate on / insult Jake Carney / anyone who is a style skier
You just broke the 2 rules of Newschoolers. I wonder if NS will now collapse upon itself and break down into civil war
TallxTor repulicans and equality. hate on i say.
john18061806Just because they made one viral edit doesn't mean it's going to happen every time.
UpsidedownbrosYou know who's really overhyped? Those kids from the bunch
Nicholas.Suchy1?? I believe they've made a few pretty big edits over 8 or 10k views
john1806180610k views isn't jack on this site, any video that gets plopped on the NS Facebook page gets at least that. Edumacate yourself and watch some Moxley edits.
Nicholas.SuchyFair enough what is considered "big" then? 20k?
hyland_jib_kidJake Carney is dead
Did his knees explode
Ron.Burgundyhttps://www.newschoolers.com/videos/watch/742645/Jake-Carney-2014-Park
Jake was slaying shit before the simpletons even graduated highschool
He's a good skier who will prove well. Just watch
JichelMustenOP makes post to say Jake Carney isn't even good but then puts hits sw 7 to the parking lot in
the thread

john18061806Jake can film with whoever the fuck he wants and simple can film whoever the fuck they want. Simple is a collective of filmers and riders not just one filmer and a small clique like there is at hyland. Just because they made one viral edit doesn't mean it's going to happen every time. Simple doesn't need to please you 12 year old fan boys.
KretzschmarNot quite as many videos on FB as we used to do but still lol not many videos push 10k views anymore unless they're standout edits. Hell, if an edit (not some viral one clip shot) goes over 30k it's damn impressive. Back in the day, it was more common to see popular crews like 4bi9 hit 50k regularly but those days are long gone.

john18061806To use a fish analogy- I knew it was a baited hook but I went for it anyways because I knew I could break the line, spit the hook out, and still have a nice meal.
MNSkiersI didn't make the thread

CorruptArmadaWhy do you think that is? The sheer of number of quality edits being produced is flattening viewership across videos?
john18061806Bullshit
MNSkiersMy friend made it when I was over
john18061806The evidence is going against what you just said.
Saga. Our thought is that it is because there are so many more edits now people are less inclined to click on each one and the facebook/social sharing algorithms don't show every post to every person anymore. Unless a video starts getting traction instantly it can likely go unnoticed.
We've also found that videos that breach the 10k views are from repeat views. Creating a video that gets watched over and over again isn't easy these days. If you can think back to the buying videos days people would watch the same video/segments over and over again. Now it's more of a one and done.

KretzschmarThe other thing I've noticed is more and more kids are filming just to post to IG which in my opinion is whack as fuck but I don't feel like going into that right now.
john18061806Kids are thirsty for the insta fame and don't understand why flying under the radar is so much more respectable. If Instagram got rid of posting videos all together our problems would be solved. I don't go on Instagram to watch videos, that's just a bigger waste of time in my book.
