we all know the struggle: u see a nice untouched line but u cant hike up
to solve this problem i thought about snowshoes. is it possible to simply put your boots in those shoes and hike up? are they large enough?

_SkiPow_yeah youre right but i dot want to walk all day long just 10-20 min to get there where i want
and i dont want to buy skins bindings and all this stuff. i think thats a nice idea for short walks
S.J.W.why don't you just buy a heli and pilot?
KennedySyndicateBefore I got my touring setup I used snowshoes and just put my ski boots in them. Screw the haters its a cost effective way to get after it. Two things to watch for: 1.snowshoes that have bindings without fixed grommets will come loose (I have msr snowshoes and they're great) 2. they do suck to carry on the way down so make sure they strap well to your pack.
_SkiPow_thanks that really helped me out! carrying should be no problem but what do you mean with fixed grommets?
Profahoben_212For just 10-20 minutes grab a used set of trekkers and a pair of skins. It's gunna be a lot better than using snowshoes. No doubt.
