This is a direct quote from EHeath
"A rodeo 5 is a flip and 180 degree spin, it's not called a rodeo 180, it's called a rodeo 540 because the flip is 360 degrees of rotation + 180 spin"
Would you define that as a Rodeo 540

Swandog7Rodeos aren't technically inverted flips, but on a weird axis that's inbetween a flip and a spin. He's basically right though, the "flip" is counts as a 360
eheathWhoever voted no in the poll please explain what you think a rodeo is, I'd love a good laugh.

TateumCso i guess cork 720 is fake by this logic. just a backflip 360?
darticus_primei'll take eheath's definition of a rodeo seriously when he lands one
eheathI did my first rodeo when you were in diapers

BianKarrettHeath bar, please show me a video of you doing a rodeo five. Obviously you have never done a rodeo. Anyone who has even attempted a rodeo can feel that it is not a flip, but instead an inverted spin. Laugh at me while i laugh at you. watching a video of a rodeo is very different than actually doing one.
Dennis_Reynoldsin all seriousness i am genuinely curious if you have ever landed a rodeo

Titsandwich11a lot of you are missing the point
what OP is not understanding is that eheath's quote was concerning itself with the trick naming system (not the specifics of the definition of rodeo). when you don't understand it, it makes it even harder to understand the naming system when you get to dubs and weird new tricks, and that's why it got brought up in the comments about dean's weird dub 9
his point about "rodeo 5 = 360 (flip) + 180 (spin)" is about the adding up of rotations and our naming system
the same people who don't understand this are the same people who don't understand why a misty 7 is a flip plus a 360, and looks really similar to a bio 7...because they are simply different kinds of 7
the example i use to try to explain this to people is this: take your phone and throw it up in the air so that it does a backflip and a 360 at the same time. now, set them less and less flippy until your phone is just doing a straight 7. this should illustrate why a misty 7 is just a type of 7, a rodeo 5 is just a type of 5, etc
