the simple fact that the BMX vert finals are at 6:30 eastern time on Friday pretty much tells you all you need to know about the future of BMX vert.

Ha lollerblading would be a disaster unless they let them do big air, there's a couple guys who can do that. I didn't even know X games happening. Whats the skateboard street course look like? Probably something that's awful for rollerblades.

I think bmx halfpipe just isn't really that fun to watch personally...not a huge fan of it. Same with skateboarding pipe.

It's kinda similar to skiing in the sense we're only seeing the biggest tricks trying to be thrown not stylish, creative, etc. I'm sure they're some insane vert videos, etc...but im just a very casual viewer of skateboarding and don't know much about it.

Would love to see some super creative edits im sure they exist out there somwhere

I mean they completely got rid of bmx dirt for 7 fucking years so how xgames schedules shit tells me nothing.

I thought they got rid of rollerblading altogether? Well anyway, the only reason people do vert ramps in the first place is for comps, its not like I could just go get on a 12' ramp at the local skate park and start practicing Mctwists. I think that's why no one is into it.

People def skate big ramps for fun, but it's died off a bunch. The same with pipe skiing versus rails. Street skating keeps getting bigger, verts are dying out.

There was a period where bowls and vert ramps were the center of the park, or 100% of a park, so people got good. Now some people are learning to skate vert, but a lot of people don't see the point and never bother.

It's cause there aren't any vert ramps or ski half pipes really. Nobody can get good at it cause they can't practice. Plus theres no rollerbladers anyway.
