New freeride boots?

need a new pair good charging boots. i compete big mountain and need a boot that wont give me shinbang but are still stiff enough to allow me go charge! any ideas

I also do big mountain comps, I say get a boot that fits and is the right flex for you and then buy a booster strap because that will be the best decision. I am 125 lbs and 5'8 and I have a pair of salomon xmax 100s with booster straps. Hope this helps!

Get the boot that fits.

If it's a 98mm race boot, get that. If it's a Full Tilt, get it. Whatever the boot, go talk to a bootfitter and have them recommend a couple.

A lot of big mountain guys are shredding modified race boots for their performance fits and torsional rigidity at high speed. Go into the shop with an open mind and go from there.

I wear the Dalbello Rampage. It's a 110 flex, 98 last, comes with an intuition liner. However, you should pick a boot that fits/works for you.

I had rampages for a while...out grew them quite quickly. Not saying they were a bad boot by any stretch but even with a booster strap they were just way to soft for my liking.

OP should def hit a bootfitter though...so many options

Agree...I used them in early middle school / beginning of HS when I didn't weight a lot and it was a nice change out of my race boots for just messing around the mountain. Would buy rampage in a stiffer boot 10/10 any day of the week if they fit me well.
