Replying to Meeting nser's / skiers on hill.
I've met a decent bit of you from riding on hood the past few years and have been noticing a trend. Its spring/summer and everyone flocks to Mt. Hood or the other respected late season places. Obviously there are alot of us who end up in the same place. Everyone talks about how connected the NS community is, yet when I'm riding hood I see plenty of you from ns. I personally will wave at you, give props on a trick, or just say what's up and cruise a lap with you just for being a skier. What I'm noticing happen alot more lately is everyone being "too core to reach out" just blank stares from across the lift line or eye contact in the park with a quick look away like its a high school dance or something. Its become a popularity contest/ gotta seem so g on hill you can't talk to anyone let alone make a new shred buddy or two. I love skiing and love riding with people that enjoy it but that seems to be turning into a cliche to ski with friends, now its all about being a snake and trying to make sure you looked cool doing it. I've boarded for years then came to skiing due to how much more legit and fun it was, yet 8/10 times if I'm on hill there's a handful of park rats with their chin to the sky acting as if they're the hottest shit yet in reality they're a dime a dozen burnt out ski bums that hit 19-22 and realized they won't ever make it in skiing so they become arrogant tools that shred so much harder than that 12 year old that was trying a flat box (too bad he wasn't watching your sweet lip front 2 cause he was out having fun with friends) Long story short, talk to the skiers around you, most of us are chill and don't harsh the mood, but if you meet someone that does just take a lap then peace out from them. Lets bring the community of happy fun skiing back not the I'm so hard look at my dick mindset.
agree or disagree all I know is tomorrow Ill be riding and waving at folks saying what's up like it ain't no thang.
