veetuskagget the fuck out with your snowboarding. there is snowboard gabber for shit like this
veetuskagNot trying to be mean but get the fuck out with your snowboarding. there is snowboard gabber for shit like this
eheathDefine future?
Not a single street rail, so IMO he can't be the future of snowboarding.
Park_RangerThere are plenty of "super pro's" in both skiing and snowboarding who don't ride in the streets. What exactly are you trying to get at?
eheathThat in my opinion, if you're not hitting street you're not the future of skiing or snowboarding, seemed pretty clear.
Park_RangerI guess I am asking why you feel that way? In your opinion, why does street riding trump jumping or back country riding in the context of "the future of the sport".
Park_Rangerthe OCCASIONAL snowboard post is granted.

Ron.BurgundyGoing to go ahead and disagree with you on that one. Although calling him the future of anything is still a stretch.
But simply stating that because you didn't see an urban feature in this one particular edit, doesn't mean he CAN'T do urban... Just means he didn't film urban. Even you should be able to understand that.
He's still a kid, give it a year or two and he'll destroy the urban scene and then in his 20s he'll switch to pow and destroy that too. His athleticism will prove him well.
eheathWell you first of all have to define "future" which is also different for many people. Some people think the Olympics is the future of skiing, some think filming is the future, or something completely different.
Now backcountry is an interesting thing to bring up as well, urban and backcountry are on the same level when it comes to filming a part. Now is big mountain riding the future? Maybe some people think that, see where im going?
I think street riding is the most entertaining side of skiing/snowboarding and also the most difficult/challenging part too. Sure I appreciate a huge backcountry line or jumps, or a perfectly stomped slope run, but nothing IMO is more impressive than a developed film segment. Would this ideally segment be just street? not necessarily, it could really be a mix of anything, but street would be a big part of it.
My point was that this dude is just riding park and hucking his body around (ie doing a fucking quad) and that just doesn't scream 'future of the sport" to me. If this video had him doing huge tricks on backcountry jumps and some wild urban than sure, but this video comes off to me as some young kid who only knows how to flip.

chicknfriedsteakCan we all just quick bickering and agree that this kid is good at what he does and fun to watch. Sure there were a lot of hucked tricks, but there were a lot of butters and smaller slower spins too. If all people ever threw were 3s or 5s people would bitch about there not being enough diversity or progression.

LoeySpin to win? no street? stfu. This kid could crush street it just so happens that in the video posted there was none. No pretzels? Snowboarders cant edge like skiers and if anyone could do a sick pretzel trick it would be this kid considering his spinning skills. He does so many crazy tricks WITH style. Lets see anyone else do nosebutter dubs off knuckles, flatground flips, and both front and back triples. This kid is most defiantly the future of snowboarding. Insane level of talent.
john18061806That's just some kid playing a game of add another 180. This is the same thing little kids in snowboarding have been doing forever. The future of snowboarding is innovation and showing skill beyond the average pro. My personal favorite to watch is Cole Navin.

eheathReading comprehension 2/10
eheathThere is a huge difference between saying someone could do street and them actually doing street.
Also, snowboarders invented pretzels...
A-cAllPlenty of snowboarders pretzel. It's just like 180 pretz 360, or 360 pretz 180. They can lock from 50-50 pretty damn well. Hell I've seen an am rider do cab 1 pretz 5 so don't tell me it can't be done
