Summer Ski set up boots.

I have a summer set up going on at the moment, everything seems to be perfect besides the fact that the hotter it gets the worse my boots feel. It has come to the point where I cant even ski for 15 minutes without taking my boots off. So is there some kind of prefered sock besides nike socks?

How thick are your socks, and what boots are you wearing? I've skied plenty of times on my setup with full tilt drop kicks and generic black socks, and I haven't had any problem. It's a little sweaty, but I jut ignore it.

There really is no good answer. It's always gross. I don't ski very much on my setup anymore but I'm about to go to snowflex at liberty and I'm wondering if it's the same deal there since most people wear long pants/sleeves regardless of the heat

I have a friend that loosens his buckles every 20 mins and blasts a hose down his boots. Seems to work for him.

I would imagine that they do that in case they fall so they don't get burned

i were tall and thin Addidas socks works pretty good but my feet still sweat

The liners are expanding from the heat, they're pack out after one to two weeks of pain. You'll probably need new liners if you plan on using those boots in the winter.

Especially with neoprene/intuition liners.

This makes so much sense... I always knew there was a different "fit" when I'm on my setup as opposed to actual skiing. I thought I was the only one.

But does it actually mess up the liners?

They fit a little different. I use my old boots, same size as my current, just different width and they feel a hell of a lot different. I wear them so tight and they still feel pretty loose. My current ones tighten down so much easier

a thin moisture wicking ski sock is the way to go for a summer set up. thinner sock:=less volume inside the shell, giving you more room. the moisture wicking aspect prevents rubbing and discomfort as well
